On Monday 13th June we arrived in Sydney and spent a few moments feeling proud that we made it with no dramas.

Our hostel had a rickety mini bus waiting to take us to our new ‘home’.

We had a lot of time to kill before check-in so walked our tired, aching bodies around Darling Harbour, a beautiful dock lined with restaurants and bars – and only a 5 minute walk from our hostel.

Feeling invincible after taking in the beauty of Australia’s biggest city we made our way up to our 8 man dorm room only to be greeted by the grunts of half-asleep boys and the smell of BO infused with piss.

I immediately got on the wifi and informed the World that I’d safely arrived and that everything was going perfectly.

After turning down a night out with our new roomies we called it a day and got an early night.
