On another night in the Arts Factory Lodge we stayed and watched the weekly talent show while drinking beer with our surfing friends again. We quickly realised where the cliche of travellers sitting around playing guitars comes from as there was about two hours of people playing slowed down renditions of a mad variety of songs.
Another memorable night was going up to the lighthouse at night to see the stars which we’d heard were incredible. The walk up to the lighthouse in the dark was scarier than we expected; with mysterious rustles and animal noises coming from all directions. We eventually got to the top away from the majority of light pollution and were rewarded with the most beautiful sky of stars I have ever seen; including a huge shooting star which left us speechless. I wish I had a camera good enough to take a photo because it truly was an amazing sight.
