Another place in Brisbane that we have ventured to a fair few times is Fortitude Valley; by day the valley is a great place to explore the quirky lanes and foodie places, whereas at night (especially on a Friday and Saturday) you can literally see the masses of bars, pubs and clubs come to life.

One of the places we’ve eaten at a couple of times is Ben’s Burgers – voted one of the best burger joints in Queensland! It took us a little while to find as its hidden in one of the lanes (Found down Winn Lane) and with only 3 burger options on the menu we weren’t immediately convinced that it would be that great. However, I think we both enjoyed our burgers – obviously enough to go back again anyway.

Just a five minute walk from Fortitude Valley is Wilson’s Outlook. If you have seen a photo of Story Bridge and the Brisbane skyline chances are this is where the photo was taken. Most popular during sunrise, sunset and night people are often here admiring the view, tucking into a picnic and trying out their photography skills. When I got my new camera this was one of the first places we came to test it out at night.
