On an overcast Wednesday morning (4/1/17) we decided to drive to the Sunshine Coast and explore the famous Eumundi Markets which are open on Wednesdays until 1:30pm and Saturdays until 2pm.

With the promise of hand crafted jewellery, street food, gifts and plenty of other goods we were excited to see what they had to offer.

On the drive up the rain started falling and much to our disappointment didn’t stop for most of our time there. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal the place was still packed thanks to it being the summer holidays. We eventually managed to get a parking stop and went exploring!

Every stall seemed to bring something new to the markets; from beautiful bohemian clothing and palm reading to locally sourced soaps and home made toys there really was plenty to see.

It took us about 2 hours to fully explore the entire area; and that’s without enjoying any of the many food options.

Somehow I managed to restrain myself from spending money, even though there was plenty I could have treated myself to. After a final sweep of the Eumundi square we headed back to the car as the stalls started to pack away for the day.
